About

Starting point: Exit from highway 360 towards Gunheim. Follow the toll road 4.2 km up to a parking lot by the Holtan Damtjønn lake.
Approximate timetable: 1.5 - 2 hours.
Degree of difficulty: Middle; small hills and smooth terrain, but some steep parts up to Vegheimfjellet and Vardåsen.

The trail to Vardåsen runs through a lightly hilly, picturesque landscape and passes several small forest ponds, a village fortress dating back to 400 - 600 B.C., and an old bear den. From the top of Vegheimfjellet and Vardåsen, the view of the surrounding area is excellent.
