Experiencing the Telemark Canal with your own boat is truly something special.
You can travel through 8 locks, including a total of 18 chambers, with a height difference of 72 meters.
The Telemark Canal can take you from the coast and all the way west to Dalen in West Telemark, or Notodden in the northern eastern parts of Telemark.
Along the trip you will enjoy a beautiful landscape with piers and campsites.
And also the possibility of experiencing fun and engaging activities along the canal as cycling, hiking, paddling, climbing and much more! The locks are open during the period from the last week of June towards mid-August.
