Treat Yourself to a Relaxing and Revitalizing Experience in the Floating Sauna at Ulefoss
Indulge in a serene and warm experience in the beautiful surroundings of our floating sauna at Ulefoss.
Price and Booking
The price for using the sauna is 300 NOK per hour. After completing your booking, you will receive a code via SMS approximately 30 minutes before your reservation starts. This code must be entered on the display located to the left of the door.
Ready for Use
To ensure a pleasant experience, the sauna oven will start heating 30 minutes before your booked time. This means the sauna will be fully heated and ready for use upon your arrival.
Please familiarize yourself with the sauna safety rules before using the sauna.
Sauna Safety Rules
The floating sauna at Ulefoss is an unmanned facility. Help us keep it clean, tidy, and safe by following our guidelines:
Swimming
All swimming and use of the sauna are at your own risk. We encourage you not to swim alone. If the water temperature is below 10 degrees Celsius, it is recommended to have someone on land. A life buoy is available on the outside of the sauna.
Changing
There is no separate changing room in connection with the sauna. However, there are hooks near the entrance door where you can hang your jacket and clothes. Outside on the wall, there is a place to hang your towel if you wish to take a dip.
Unfortunately, there is no toilet nearby the sauna.
Sauna Oven
The sauna oven will automatically turn on well in advance of your booked time. If you desire extra heat in the sauna, you can pour water on the oven. Only clean freshwater is allowed; please be careful, use the ladle, and pour only a small amount of water at a time.
Hygiene and Health
No shoes are allowed in the sauna, and please use your towel to sit on when using the sauna.
Food, chewing gum, smoking, and snus are prohibited.
If you have heart or cardiovascular conditions, are pregnant, or have other health conditions where high temperatures are not recommended, you should use the sauna only after consulting a doctor. If you feel uncomfortable, dizzy, or drowsy, leave the sauna immediately.
Alcohol
Visibly intoxicated individuals may be denied entry. Consumption of alcohol is not allowed during your visit to the sauna for your own safety.
Age Limit
Children under 10 years are discouraged from using the sauna. Children over 10 years must be able to swim and be accompanied by an adult. Individuals over 18 years of age who are competent swimmers can book the sauna.
