History
At Straand Hotel, the history goes all the way back to 1864 when Kari and Olav Straand started a shuttle station here. This is well expressed through the good atmosphere of the hotel, and especially in the old living rooms in the heart of the hotel, with patched timber walls and old furniture.
The Straand family still owns and operates the hotel. Today, Straand is a modern hotel, where the hotel's long history is an important part of today's operations.
