Day trip: Ulefoss-Kviteseid-Ulefoss

Departure from Ulefoss. Travel with our canal queen M/S Victoria through the impressive locks in the Telemark canal, including Vrangfoss with locks with a rise of 23 meters (approx. 75 feet)!

Further up the canal there is changes in both water direction and the landscape changes where we sail down the river and lakes as the trip move closer towards the mountain areas in upper Telemark. There is an open cafe on board. Arrival at Kviteseid in the afternoon and then a coach in return back to the starting point.

• 10.35 am departure on board M/S Victoria from Ulefoss locks
• 04.20 pm arrival on board M/S Victoria from Kviteseid pier. Disembarking.
• 06.00 pm departure on board the local coach from Kviteseid (coach change in Seljord, waiting time 80 minutes)
• 08.40 pm arrival at Ulefoss locks
• NB! On Saturdays a taxi will depart from Kviteseid at 4.30 pm and will correspond with the canal coach arriving from Dalen. Waiting time is about 2,5 hours for the canal coach in Seljord. Arrival at Ulefoss locks at 8.38 and Hjellebrygga in Skien at 9.15 pm. MUST PREORDER!

Period 2021: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in the period from 20th of May to 4th of September. NB! The trip on Saturdays must preorder (due to taxi transport to coach)

Prices 2020:

Adults from 16 years old: 975 Nkr per person (Saturday 945 Nkr)

Children 4 – 15 years old: 225 Nkr per person (Saturday 210 Nkr)

Children 0 – 3 years old: free

Season 2021:

Package price and timetable for this trip is not yet finalized for 2021 because we are awaiting the timetables and fares from the bus companies.

However, you can book your trip now to make sure you have a ticket.

We will confirm the trip to you as soon as it is finalized (probably in February/March 2021).
